The important information

  • *The figure of £166 is the potential saving achievable by an EDF Energy customer with a typical consumption supplied on our standard tariffs, meeting the challenge to reduce their annual household energy consumption by 20% through energy saving measures. Typical consumption means 3,300 kWh of electricity and 20,500 kWh of gas each year.
  • **Eco20:20's off peak electricity unit rate (which applies between 10pm until 8 am BST (or - 9pm until 7am GMT) weekdays and all weekend) is currently 20% cheaper than EDF Energy's standard core electricity tariff. An EDF Energy customer with a typical annual electricity consumption (3,300kwh) and usage pattern, could save up to £37 by moving to Eco 20:20. By shifting more of your electricity usage to off peak times you could save even more. Eco20:20 tariff is always set to GMT times, this means that during British Summer Time your off-peak times will be 10pm until 8am on weekdays.
  • ***20% reduction in Carbon Footprint is based on 2007 National Average personal CO2 footprint as set out in DEFRA's Act on CO2 Data and Methodologies paper v1.2 August 2008, which confirms that the national average CO2 emissions associated with an individual carbon footprint in the UK is 4,249 kgCO2. As part of Eco 20:20, EDF Energy will be providing customers with regular energy savings tips and advice which, if implemented, could provide CO2 emission savings of well in excess 850kgCO2 (based on Energy Saving Trust figures) - a reduction of 20% of the national average individual carbon footprint figure
